Your files stay yours.

In short
- Every tool you can use today runs in your browser. Your files never reach our servers.
- We don’t sell, share or train on anything you give us.
- To count the free daily tasks we use one small cookie and a scrambled form of your IP address — never your files, never your name.
- If you join our email list, we use your address only to tell you about Bindery, and you can leave at any time.
Your documents
Tools marked On your device open, change and save your PDF entirely inside your web browser. The file isn’t uploaded: we never receive it, see it or keep it. Passwords you type into Protect or Unlock stay on your device too.
Some future tools (such as Office conversions and OCR) will need our servers. They’ll be marked Secure upload: your file will travel over an encrypted connection, be processed, and be deleted automatically within an hour. Nobody at Bindery looks at it. Today, no live tool uploads your files.
Counting free tasks
Free use is limited to a number of tasks a day. To count them fairly we use two things:
- A visitor cookie (
bindery_vid): a random code with no personal information in it, kept by your browser for about 13 months. It lets us count tasks without an account. - A scrambled IP address: your IP address is turned into a code with a secret that changes every day, so it can’t be reversed or linked from one day to the next. We store the code and a count, never your actual address, and delete the counts after two days.
We don’t use advertising cookies or trackers, and there are no ads on Bindery.
Saved signatures
If you tick Remember on this device in Fill & Sign, your signature is saved in your browser’s storage on that device only. It’s never sent to us. You can delete it from the signature window, or by clearing your browser’s data for bindery.page.
Email list
If you join the early-access list, we keep your email address, where on the site you signed up, and the date. We use it only to email you about Bindery — the Pro launch and occasional news. We don’t share it with anyone. To be removed, email hello@bindery.page and we’ll delete it.
Visitor statistics
To understand how many people visit and which tools they use, we may use privacy-friendly statistics that don’t use cookies and don’t follow you across other websites. They count visits; they don’t identify you.
Hosting and logs
Bindery is hosted by Hostinger. Like every web host, their servers keep short technical logs of requests (such as IP address, browser type and time) to run the service and keep it secure, under Hostinger’s own privacy policy.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. For most visitors there is nothing to find: we don’t have your files, and the task counts can’t be traced back to you. Write to hello@bindery.page.
Children
Bindery isn’t aimed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes
When accounts and paid plans arrive, this page will be updated to cover them, and the date above will change. See also our terms.
