Terms

The plain-English terms.

Last updated 2 October 2026

In short

  • Use Bindery freely for your own and your work’s documents, within the free daily limits.
  • Only work on files you have the right to work on.
  • Your documents stay yours. We claim no rights over them.
  • Bindery is in beta: it’s provided as it is, so keep your own copies of important files.

Using Bindery

Bindery (bindery.page) gives you online tools to work with PDF files. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.

The free tools need no account and are limited to a number of files, pages and tasks a day, as shown on the pricing page. We may change those limits as the service develops.

Your files and your responsibility

You keep every right to the documents you use with Bindery. Most tools never send them to us at all (see our privacy page).

You’re responsible for having the right to change the files you work on. In particular, use Unlock only to remove passwords or restrictions from documents you’re allowed to change, and use Fill & Sign only to sign as yourself or with permission.

Fair use

Please don’t:

  • try to get around the free limits, or overload or attack the service;
  • use Bindery to break the law, infringe someone else’s rights, or forge documents or signatures;
  • copy, resell or reuse the site itself without our permission.

We may block access that breaks these rules.

A beta, provided as it is

We build Bindery carefully and test every tool, but it’s a new service in beta. It is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We can’t promise it will always be available or error-free, so keep your original files and check results before relying on them.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Bindery isn’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, arising from using the site. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that can’t be limited by law.

Pro and payments

Paid plans aren’t available yet. When they launch, their prices, billing, renewal and cancellation terms will be added here before anyone is charged.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms as Bindery grows; the date above shows the latest version. Questions? Write to hello@bindery.page.
